Estate agents and letting agents can help you when looking for rented property.

They will show you any suitable properties they have and guide you through the whole process.

Rented properties are available either furnished or unfurnished.

Rent is usually paid on a monthly basis.

If you are planning to rent a property when you move to Scotland it is a good idea to be aware of your rights and seek advice.

Take a look at the Scottish Executive "Better Renting Scotland " website.

When looking at a property you are thinking of renting use this handy checklist to decide if it is value for money:   go to S1 Rental website and visit the section on Rental > Rental Guide, then click 'your checklist' on the left hand side.
