In the 2001 census around 67% of the population reported having a religion.  The most common faith was christianity, however Islam, Buddhism, Jewish, Sikhism and Hinduism were represented among others. 
 
Where can I practice my religion? 
 
There are large Islamic communities in Glasgow and Edinburgh, and a significant Jewish community in Glasgow. Mosques, Sikh temples, Synagogues and Buddhist and Hindu places of worship can be seen alongside Christian Churches.
