Royal Caledonian Schools Trust - The Caley, as it's affectionately known, was
established in 1815 to help educate the sons and daughters of Scots who
were serving, or who had served, in the armed forces, and the children

The Royal Caledonian Ball (www.royalcaledonianball.com ) started sometime in the 1840s as a private
gathering given by the Duke and Duchess of Atholl for Scottish friends.
Since their first performance in February 2006 Scotland’s newest
cultural organisation the National Theatre of Scotland has been
involved in creating over 59 productions in 89 different locations.
With no building of its own, NTS has performed in great theatres,
ferries and forests, airports and tower blocks, village halls and drill
halls creating theatre on a national and international scale which is
contemporary, confident and forward–looking.
