Sign up for one of the most scenic city centre running events in the UK, the BUPA Great Edinburgh Run.

The 10Km course starts and finishes in The Meadows and takes in some spectacular sites including The Mound (running past the National Gallery), down the Royal Mile, past Holyrood Palace and the Scottish Parliament Building.

The route then sweeps up Holyrood Park, beside Arthur’s Seat, past the Commonwealth Swimming Pool, then along the Grass Market for a last view of the iconic and historic Edinburgh Castle before the finishing straight back into the Meadows.

With an elite field starting the run the day promises some fantastic races as well as a chance to watch a host of celebrities from the world of entertainment and sport take to the streets along with the masses.

Over 10,000 runners are expected and with the Tesco Junior and Mini Great Edinburgh Run taking place the day before you’re guaranteed a great weekend of running in Edinburgh.

The Tesco Junior and Mini Great Edinburgh Run is open to children aged 3-14 years old. Last year the cast of Starlight Express came along to cheer on the runners and help with the warm up. Mascots from Hearts and Hibernian FC took part in a mascots race and after the run children were able to take part in a host of come and try it activities in the Meadows.

To enter both events and to download paper entry forms please visit www.greatrun.org or call 0845 389 2200.
